La Calata is one of the oldest restaurants in the area and it’s located in one of the most attractive part of Lerici. It was founded by Emilio Calloni and his spouse in 1883. During that period, they owned an inn as well. Emilio & Virginia had a son, Gino, who inherited the restaurant. Under his management, the restaurant grew over the years with a seating capacity of over 100 (and a unique additional outdoor dining space with an amazing view of Piazza Garibaldi) to become very popular all over Italy. Many celebrity guests from politics, social, art, science and sports enjoyed dining and shared time with local residents in our exclusive ambiance.
La Calata, well-known for first-class cuisine, is one of the most admired family-owned hospitality management and has also flexible meeting space for more intimate meetings to large group events. Silvano Solari, still leading the restaurant team, had been working as chef with the previous management. By now, his son Andrea is in charge of the kitchen, assisted by mom Rosaria. Andrea’s wife, Zaida, currently works as dining room manager.
