La Calata, though being a first-rate restaurant,
efficiently equipped to welcome groups as well as events, maintains
the characteristics of the family management.
It is currently run by the Solari family who has taken it over from the
old Calloni management.
Silvano Solari comes from the previous management where he had been
practicing for a long time as a cook. Since 1978 he has become owner and chef,
receiving acknowledgements and enjoying visits from the major personalities of the
show business, of the industrial and sports world.
At present his son Andrea has applied himself to the task of bringing forth the
tradition and the quality of the cooking, being the chef, together with his mother
Rosaria and with his wife Zaira who is responsible for the room.
Silvano still cooperates as a chef in the kitchen or in the room, according to the necessities.
