"La Calata" "La Calata" is one of the most ancient restaurants in
the province, whose foundation goes up to 1883, when the Calloni family opened
an inn for the "mescita" (selling) of wine and fried fish and stockfish snacks,
with customers consisting primarily of fishermen and seamen.
La Calata, though being a first-rate restaurant, well-equipped
to welcome groups and events too, maintains the characteristics of the family
management.
Today as in the past the cooking is directly taken care of by
the holders, with the same passion and attention in the choice of the best
foods of the Lerici seafood and fish tradition accompanied by a large
choice of wines.
It is currently run by the Solari family who has taken it over from the old Calloni management.
For groups and parties a particular price is charged with a fixed menu based on fish, with
particular dishes of the Ligurian and Lerici cooking tradition, to be arranged on demand.
The tasting menu at fixed price is available for everybody.
It provides five tastings of appetizers, two kinds of "first" courses (pasta-based),
a fish-based main course, a dessert, wine, water, coffee.
